Shifting Interests

Confession: I’ve decided I’m not interested in writing the nature-themed short series. I started it, I thought it would be fun, but it’s boring me, dear reader, and if it’s boring me, it’s going to bore you more.

At one point very recently, I was utterly convinced that it was time to retire this name once and for all, because I’m just not interested in writing any of the common sexy romance tropes at the moment, and I wasn’t at all sure what I was interested in writing that would fit with my “Naughty Encounters” brand.

And then I spent a few hours being depressed and feeling old because I like my Trinity alter-ego, and I don’t want to stuff her in a trunk and put her in my attic, so to speak. I want to continue writing from her perspective, I just didn’t quite know how to mesh that with my current state of…well, let’s just say my current state, and leave it at that.

Thankfully, as I was standing in the kitchen the other night, thinking about an incredibly huge writing saga I’m starting under my main “name”, it hit me. I have three stories to tell (which will end up being quite a few more books each), and only one is fit for my main name. The other will be told by my second alter-ego, and the third?

Well. The third story is about the family lineage that starts with one Eleanor Jacobs, who goes west in the 1800’s as a mail-order bride, becomes a saloon girl/whore, and ends up the proprietor of the infamous Magpie Bordello in Montana, which is passed on for generations after she’s gone. Her lineage ends up being full of women who embrace the intimacy of carnal delights despite the times they live in and all the people telling them they can’t or shouldn’t.

The story will be uncovered by Beth Jacobs, one of Eleanor’s descendants, who thinks she wants to know the truth about where she came from, but gets far, far more than she bargained for, and quite the education in the process.

And that is a story I think only Trinity can properly tell.

If that sounds interesting to you, stay tuned!
